Written for the April issue of Conscious Inspired Living – “An Online Magazine that Speaks to your Soul”

We are each vessels for powerful alchemical energy, let us ignite the transforming fire of Inspiration in our lives by sparking a candle and intending healing and peace for all of life on our planet. I was inspired to light a candle after receiving a direct message through Twitter from a glowing friend and guiding light, Michele Meiche, one of the fabulous founders of this Conscious Inspired Living Magazine. Michele passionately expressed that “We can do so much with our Intention and Love ~ Light a candle for healing and peace in Japan” and had taken a photo of her beautiful twin-flame OM candle. The idea resonated with me and I heeded the call, reaching for a candle and igniting a flame. Moments later I felt guided to take a photo so that I could reflect the inspiration I had been infused with. My deepest bows of gratitude and appreciation to Michele for this blessing, I am sincerely thankful that she reached out to me because the intention-setting has become a deeply powerful and healing experience. I hope that others will be inspired to light a candle today as well.

Let us come together to send our love and light to the resilient and courageous people of Japan. If you hear the call to light a candle, as you spark the wick, focus your highest intentions for healing and peace for those suffering. Another simple yet powerful way we can do this is by listening to a beautiful, soulful meditation recorded by my radiant friend Aine Belton. Let us show our brothers and sisters that we are with them in their time of need, that they are in our hearts, minds and souls, united in Spirit and that we are wishing them well. We can surround our planet with a divine healing blanket of golden white light, blessing all of life effected by the shifts taking place. Let’s remember our powers to invoke universal assistance, ask for miracles! This light we are emitting is of a healing nature and heals not only the mind of instability, allowing the heart to be up lifted; it brings Great Spirit into harmony, as well. We are the holders of the flame! Let’s be torches on the path of healing and resolution, bringing our light to the people and regions of the world that have need of it now.

My conscious inspired friends, we are the LIGHT of the world! And we can do anything we put our minds to.. Let’s begin by blessing ALL of life on our wonderful planet.

An effortless way we can affirm this is in the act of lighting a candle and sharing in its blessings. Let us come together and draw our alchemical powers to a focus: We will be initiating a movement of Light, luminous sparks of Conscious Inspired Living! It can become such a simple, timeless blessing with magnificent potential. A standard candle, such as the one below, lasts for about 60 hours. I’ve whispered love into five candles so far and in total they have been emitting light for over 210 hours. I believe every moment a candle is lit and blessed with highest intentions, a sacred flame is born – glowing in our hearts and illuminating our minds. As more and more people feel inspired to add their light, our united light and love quotient increases, and our collective sphere of influence will ripple outwards in a greater radius. Let’s put our divinity to work and initiate a divine spark!!

Not a single human can achieve alone what two human beings can do when attuned to the same vibration. Two candles are brighter than one. Lighting a candle for healing and peace in Japan has framed my intent. The candle light has become a miraculous focus point for my awareness – a point of power – continuously bringing me back to the healing intentions I was inspired to set in motion in the very first instance. My mind might wander, I might even get lost for a while, but whilst I’m here at my computer, the hypnotic flame flickers gently in my field of vision. It has a magnetic quality and I trust that I will be entranced again in perfect divine timing. When I light the candle I feel such a deep reverence for all of life, beautiful positive emotions fill my body; it is wondrously spiritually nourishing and uplifting..

Perhaps more people will find this act of intention-setting inspiring and beneficial, which is why I wanted to share my experience here. As I look upon my candle now with it’s elegant flame reaching up, dancing and kissing the air, it appears to breathe with me.. my mind calms…. I find serenity… my intention is strengthened and my attention focused… I begin to allow. Through a glimmer of light I am opening to my highest insight, invoking higher powers for assistance, support, and inspiration. It truly has become a symbol of hope; a sacred tool igniting service and awakening oneness…

I am in tune with my inner light and wisdom
I am guided always by love
I energetically share my light and wisdom with others
I am one with the Earth and stars

Lighting a candle has become a ritual that I personally feel I will continue with for quite some time, the presence of the light in my life is meditative, nurturing and giving. I can feel it warming my heart and soul, it’s purifying and healing light burning away fears and doubts. I believe that the action of lighting a candle and keeping the flame alive; rekindling the spark every morning, has been a catalyst for awakening to a more heightened sense of awareness. I feel deeper empathy and compassion, love and respect and am reconnecting with my inner flame. The inspiration I have been receiving over the past week has been life-changing and profound.
